Software Problems
For wrong orientation, profile, or crop, compare the export in another viewer and review Exif orientation and import settings. Do not overwrite the source while diagnosing.
If two viewers disagree, inspect metadata and use a controlled test file. Note which application and version displays the difference. If only the production software changes orientation or crop, its import settings are the first place to investigate; do not rotate the source blindly to compensate.
A useful diagnostic is to open the exact same file in the creator's viewer and the maker's receiving software, then compare dimensions, orientation, profile, and crop. If the image differs only in one application, investigate its import and color settings. If both show the defect, return to the source export. This separation prevents a maker from compensating for a file-side error with a machine setting.
