A practical worksheet can show a 3600 × 2400 source being cropped to 3000 × 2400 for a 10 × 8-inch product. After crop, the effective density is 300 PPI in each direction. If the same 3000 × 2400 crop becomes 20 × 16 inches, it is 150 PPI. The user should compare the result with the product's stated requirement, not label either automatically acceptable or unacceptable.
