Not applicable to the JPEG format itself. Material color, coating, texture, porosity, and handling belong to the selected physical product and production method.
This checklist field is intentionally not a physical JPEG specification. A maker must describe the selected paper, textile, coating, ceramic blank, or stock using the applicable material documentation. Keep those attributes in the job or material record, where they can be updated independently of the image.
This field exists in the universal master-guide template, but it is not a property of JPEG. It should direct readers to the product's material specification instead of inventing a format-specific substrate rule. For physical quality, document material color, finish, coating, texture, and preparation alongside the process. These can influence perceived image color and detail even when every JPEG byte is unchanged.
