Production Mistakes
Letting import software auto-fit or auto-rotate without verifying actual output dimensions and crop.
Automatic fit, rotation, scaling, or profile conversion can alter a correct JPEG at import. Always compare the production application's preview against the approved derivative before committing material.
Automatic scaling can make a file appear to fit while changing its effective pixel density or clipping its edges. Preview the exact placed image in the production application and confirm numerical output size. If the software rotates the file because of metadata, inspect whether that rotation is intentional before normalizing the image. Record any conversion that changes approved content.
