Photoshop, GIMP, ImageMagick, ExifTool, and the maker's production software.

Image editors prepare the source and export; metadata inspectors report properties; the maker's production software places and interprets the derivative. Compare the roles before choosing a tool. Photoshop or GIMP can make a sound JPEG that a particular machine application still rejects, while ExifTool can show metadata without judging whether the product composition is attractive or safe to manufacture.

A useful software comparison should ask what stage each tool supports. An editor prepares an image, a metadata tool inspects the delivered file, a production application positions it on the item, and a color tool may help proof it. No single screenshot proves that every stage agrees. When a mismatch appears, note each application's version and its interpretation of the same file.
