Primary Purpose
Compact storage and exchange of photographic or continuous-tone imagery.
The primary purpose is to encode a still image, commonly photographic, for storage and exchange. It is not a universal product specification, cut plan, stitch plan, or proof that the image has enough pixels for a chosen physical size.
JPEG is a way to distribute a still image efficiently, not a portable editing project. In a Goodiee listing, that often means buyer-facing photography. In a maker workflow, it may mean approved photographic artwork. The same format name does not imply the same pixel dimensions, profile, permissions, or production role.
