Before you start
- Approved maker access for production work.
- Current machine, material, product, capacity, address, and schedule information.
What you will be able to do
- Keep the capability and capacity inputs used for matching accurate.
- Pause new gigs intentionally without confusing it with existing commitments.
- Check save results and review actual offers.
Open the maker workspace's Operations page for the consolidated settings. Older equipment or schedule settings routes can redirect into the current workspace. Use the current Operations section bar rather than relying on old screenshots of separate settings pages.
Step by step
Step 1: Open Maker Operations
Open your maker dashboard and choose Operations. Confirm that this is your production profile and that your application is approved for work. The page groups contact, capabilities, equipment, capacity, fulfillment, availability, and gig selection.
Open this screen →Check: The Operations editor is available for your maker account.
Step 2: Confirm Contact and Address
Update the production contact's name, email, and phone if supplied. Check the business address, city, state, and ZIP Code used for your operation. An Operations contact-email change does not change your login email.
Check: Production communication and location information are current.
Step 3: Review Methods, Materials, and Products
Select only the methods you can reliably operate, the supported materials you can process, and products you can manufacture. If a method is removed or added, recheck the dependent selections and machine records rather than leaving inconsistent capabilities.
Check: The selected capabilities agree with one another and your actual workshop.
Step 4: Register identifiable Equipment
Register at least one machine for every selected method using its real manufacturer and model, or the supported custom entry. Keep quantities and machine identity accurate. Review machine-specific verification instructions when present; having a capability label is not the same as a verified physical machine.
Check: Each intended method has the appropriate actual equipment and status.
Step 5: Set sustainable Production capacity
Choose weekly production hours, typical lead time, and job-size preferences from the form. Allow time for setup, inspection, finishing, packing, maintenance, and other commitments. Do not count the same work hours as independent capacity for every machine you own.
Check: The declared capacity can be supported by the people, equipment, and time available.
Step 6: Set Fulfillment
Choose the handoff options, packaging, and related fulfillment answers that match your real operation. Review the constraints and delivery expectations before selecting an option; availability of local handoff does not guarantee that every order can be delivered the same day.
Check: The offered fulfillment methods are operationally possible.
Step 7: Handle equipment Verification when shown
Use the verification area and the equipment workflow to provide the evidence or challenge response requested for the actual machine. Wait for the recorded review outcome; do not label a new machine verified because a different machine was approved.
Check: Verification corresponds to the intended equipment or production method.
Step 8: Set Production availability
Use the weekly day/time editor to set when production can take place. Check each active day's Starts and Ends entries. Under Are you accepting new gigs?, choose Accepting new gigs or Pause new gigs. Pausing new offers does not cancel work you already accepted.
Check: Your weekly windows and new-gig availability both match your current situation.
Step 9: Choose Gig selection behavior
Review every gig leaves compatible offers for you to accept. Review gigs within capacity filters out work beyond the configured schedule/capacity and still requires you to review the rest. Do not describe either choice as guaranteed work or as a fully automatic accept mode.
Check: The selected behavior matches how you intend to handle offers.
Step 10: Save, then inspect Gigs
Choose Save changes, wait for the saved result, and fix any errors. Open Gigs to review actual matched offers. An empty queue can be legitimate; offers also depend on paid demand, job requirements, approval, machine status, materials, and current capacity.
Open this screen →Check: Settings are saved and offer availability is interpreted without assuming a promised workload.
A useful maintenance routine
- Before accepting work: check materials, machine condition, schedule, quantity, and ship-by date.
- After equipment or staffing changes: revise capabilities and capacity, then verify saved values.
- Before time off: pause new gigs if appropriate and address existing accepted work separately.
- After shipping: record the required shipment update and tracking details in the assigned job.
