Creator, maker, supplier, and buyer: explained
A five-minute explainer of all four Goodiee roles, how they connect, and which path to choose first.
Goodiee runs on four roles. One account can hold several at once. Here is what each role does in plain language: and how they connect from design to delivery.
Creator: publishes designs
Creators upload production-ready files and publish listings. Design listings hold artwork, cut paths, and models with allowed production methods; Goodie listings show finished products buyers can order. Two-dimensional designs that apply to multiple blanks display as artwork with supported item types; three-dimensional and finished-good listings show the final product.
Maker: produces goodies
Makers run creator files on real equipment: presses, printers, lasers, CNC, embroidery machines. They accept routed gigs, source materials, produce, and ship within network standards.
Supplier: provides materials
Suppliers list blanks and raw inputs: shirts, filament, vinyl, sheet stock: not finished consumer products. Makers order materials through Goodiee supply workflows.
Buyer: shops the network
Buyers discover and purchase goodies. Every order validates routing, production, and fulfillment: closing the loop for creators and makers.
The flow in one sentence
Creator publishes → Buyer orders → Maker produces with supplier materials → Buyer receives. Suppliers stabilize the material layer makers and creators reference. Goodiee coordinates the handoffs.
Frequently asked questions
- Which role should I pick first?
- Create a Goodiee account first. No role is required. Shop as a buyer immediately, then add Creator in Settings when you are ready to publish listings.
- Can I change roles later?
- Yes. Add or manage roles in Settings → Roles after signup.
- Do suppliers sell to consumers?
- Suppliers primarily serve makers in the production network, not retail shoppers buying finished goodies.
